This study examines the spatial analysis of fuel stations operated by Al-Rahal Company within the Municipality of Tripoli, based on a number of criteria, including storage capacity and the types of services provided. The study also develops a model for evaluating the existing locations of the company’s fuel stations within the municipality, establishes a geographic database of fuel supply service locations, and applies Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology using ArcGIS software. The study adopts descriptive and analytical approaches to analyze data collected from fuel stations both within and outside the city of Tripoli. The level of several characteristics of these stations was assessed through a questionnaire administered to a sample of station managers. The study reached several findings. The distribution of fuel stations was found to be inefficient and lacking clear planning criteria, as well as lacking social equity in terms of spatial distribution. Areas outside the city of Tripoli have fewer fuel stations despite their larger geographical extent, resulting in additional economic costs due to the increased number and length of trips required to access fuel services. The study also identified deficiencies in the provision of periodic maintenance services at some fuel stations, which can be attributed to the age of the pumps and the unavailability of spare parts, with no replacement alternatives being provided. In addition, there are delays in replacing fuel storage tanks after they have exceeded their operational lifespan.
