Abstract

This research will address the biography of the narrator Ali ibn al-Ja'd, and will mention and discuss the statements of scholars concerning him, differentiating between those who praised and those who criticized him. Additionally, it will collect his narrations found in Al-Sahih (as specified in the research title) and study them from the perspective of their chain of transmission (sanad) and text (matn). Ali ibn al-Ja'd was not only one of the narrators of Al-Sahih but also one of the teachers of the book's author, a book that holds a supreme status in Islam and great fame among Muslims. Therefore, it was necessary to research his biography, discuss the statements of the critics regarding him, and study his narrations in Sahih al-Bukhari and their relationship to the critics' remarks about him, in order to ascertain the truth of the criticism he faced.
