The temporary storage center for semi-active archives plays a vital role for governmental institutions and organizations, supporting their administrative processes. This center provides all officials in the administrative units of these institutions and organizations with information that assists them in completing daily tasks. Furthermore, the center ensures efficient archive management and information protection during the pre-final archiving phase. This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of semi-active archive accumulation at the Bani Walid Education Monitoring Department, identifying its causes and proposing solutions. The study found that the absence of a temporary storage center for semi-active archives has led to the accumulation of archives within the offices and departments of the Bani Walid Education Monitoring Department. It also found the lack of a plan for inventorying, sorting, transferring, and utilizing archives at the Bani Walid Education Monitoring Department. The study proposes the establishment of a temporary storage center for semi-active archives.
