The Effect of Work Motivation on Job Performance among Physical Education Teachers in Al-Marj City

The aim of this study was to identify the level of job performance and the level of motivation among physical education teachers in the city of Al-Marj, as well as to examine the differences in job performance and motivation levels according to gender, years of experience, academic qualification, and educational stage. The study also sought to determine the nature of the relationship between job performance and motivation among physical education teachers in Al-Marj. The researcher employed the descriptive approach using the survey method, as it was appropriate to the nature of the study and its objectives. The research sample was selected using simple random sampling and consisted of (150) male and female physical education teachers in Al-Marj city, including (119) male teachers and (31) female teachers. The sample represented (89.82%) of the study population. Two scientific scales were used: one to measure job performance and the other to measure the level of motivation for the same sample. The results indicated that the level of job performance among all participants was high, with a percentage of (82.5%), while the level of motivation was moderate, with a percentage of (73.6%).
