Youth migration is one of the most prominent socio-economic phenomena affecting demographic transition in North African countries, particularly in light of changes in international economic relations and their repercussions on the labor market and development opportunities. This research aims to analyze the relationship between youth migration and demographic transition in North African countries and identify its impact on local development, focusing on the role of international economic relations in shaping migration motives and spatial transformations. The research employs a descriptive analytical approach, reviewing previous literature and studies, as well as secondary data from international and regional sources. The research concludes that youth migration contributes to accelerating demographic transition by decreasing the proportion of young working-age individuals and increasing the proportion of elderly people. It also impacts local development through labor shortages, declining productivity, increased reliance on remittances, and the emergence of socio-economic disparities. The findings also revealed that international economic relations play a central role in shaping migration patterns through developmental disparities, migration policies, and economic agreements. The research concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at improving employment and local development policies, enhancing the utilization of remittances, developing reintegration programs for migrants, and strengthening regional integration as a mechanism for mitigating migration pressures. Thus, the research contributes to bridging a knowledge gap by linking youth migration to demographic transition and local development within the framework of international economic relations.
