This research examines slavery within the framework of Roman law, exploring the social and historical context that led to its emergence in Roman society. It analyzes social classes and their conflicts and reviews the status of slaves within the Roman legal system, including their rights and obligations. The research aims to shed light on the relationship between the social and legal structures in ancient Rome and how this relationship influenced the status of slaves, both in terms of their origins and their attempts to gain liberation through revolts or legal manumission.
